Peter solved a problem I've had with my Cabrio for over 2 years and when I asked how I could thank him all he said was "You're welcome". Peter provides the highest level of customer service and truly cares about his clients.
This is the story....I have a VW Cabrio that I bought from a dealership. The radio/cassette/CD player locked up & I needed the "safe" code to unlock it. For over 2 years I have not had music in my car until this past weekend when Peter magically produced a piece of paper from the spare tire well with the serial # of the radio & the CODE. Neither VW of America nor the dealership was able to provide me with the code, Peter did! Peter knows cars better than their own manufacturers.
Peter, thank you for going above and beyond. It is so rare these days.

Most people enjoy shopping for a new car. I would rather go to the dentist. Hearing the dread in my voice, my mother told me about the great reputation of Peter and Cohasset Imports. My perspective on car shopping changed when I stopped by Cohasset Imports and met Peter. Although I had passed Cohasset Imports hundreds of times, I purchased a car from another dealer when I was younger and I lived out of state for 16 years. I was impressed when I called the office to inquire about the hours because I was coming from Boston and wanted to be sure someone would be available in case I was stuck in traffic. Not only was I assured they would wait until I arrived, Peter did not leave his office until well after the 'official' hour of closing.
We talked about my cars in the past, my daily and weekend driving needs and habits, types of cars, driving systems, physical qualities of cars, and general likes and dislikes. He asked me two important questions. "How do you feel about spending money on car maintenance? Do you have a high or low tolerance?" I explained that I followed regular maintenance but I really did not want to spend thousands of dollars a year in maintenance costs. Honestly speaking, I feel that I was having an appointment with a 'car shrink'. He gave me great advice. I test drove several options. Ironically, I purchased the first car that I chose to test drive. It has been over four months since I made the best decisions of 2009 -- to head to Cohasset Imports and to purchase a used Lexus.
It is worth noting that even though I purchased the car in May, I called Peter in August with a quick question. He was as responsive to my car needs in August as he was in May before I made the purchase. Instead of cloning sheep and cats, we should be cloning Peter because of his integrity, reliability, service, talent, and great disposition. I have found my dealer for life and I believe I have found my car manufacturer for life.
